Background
Tdyan Youth Voices and Action Network Uganda (TDYAN YOVANU) is a youth-led, child-centered organization that has grown from a small idea in 2017 into a trusted voice for young people across Tororo District. We exist because we believe that when children, adolescents, and youth are supported to thrive, entire communities are transformed with them. And honestly, that belief guides everything we do.
We’re registered a nation-wide NGO rooted in the everyday realities of the communities we serve. Over the years, we’ve built our work around improving health, expanding opportunities, and strengthening protections for those who too often fall through the cracks. Much of our energy goes into championing sexual and reproductive health and rights, promoting education, supporting skills development, and helping young people claim their place as equal partners in shaping their futures.
Our work stretches from families and schools all the way to cultural institutions, government departments, and international partners. And maybe the most meaningful part is that we’re not just touching individual lives; we’re helping transform whole communities by encouraging fairness, dignity, and access to health and education for every young person.
